BEACHSCAPES

The views you get standing on the beach looking out to sea are amongst the few landscape views which appear not to change over the years. The sea cannot change but still, we encroach from the land.  Piers, jetties, sea breaks, and groins jut out towards the horizon. These stationary objects seem permanent but it’s an illusion. The sea is always fighting back as it slowly erodes, dissolves and returns everything back to how it should be. This illusion of permanence and transience appeals to me.
