DANCE

A selection of classical dance training and a flamenco performer. The ballet was behind the scenes during the training sessions in preparation for a performance by the Central School of Ballet.​ In all, I spent three sessions with them and got to know the extraordinary effort and dedication these young men and women put in to achieve perfection. ​I have never seen more commitment and aspiration during these sessions and their concentration and ability to train for hours on end was exemplary. I expect armed forces training is the nearest that people of this age get to pushing their bodies to the limit of their capability and endurance.​ My thanks to all the students and the school who so agreeably allowed me access. The flamenco dancer was enticed  onto the back streets of Barcelona with her troupe to perform against the backdrop of the city at sunset on a hot July evening.
